Opportunities to attend International Summer Schools
International Summer School
Summer schools are an excellent opportunity to experience a new way of teaching, a new culture, to increase your global awareness, and to network with students from all over the world over a short amount of time. Summer schools typically run from 1 – 6 weeks in June, July and August.
NTU Global promotes summer schools offered by NTU’s partner universities. The programmes vary from university to university with some offering a huge variety of courses, some offering cultural immersion and others offering specialist courses.
There are usually fees to pay – tuition, accommodation, travel, visas (if applicable), food and other living costs, however, NTU Global does offer some amazing competitive scholarships for which the tuition and accommodation is waived.
Last year 20 NTU students took advantage of these scholarships and spent their summer at Sichuan University and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu, China and at the University of Seoul in South Korea!
Our partner universities are starting to confirm the dates and programmes for their 2017 summer schools – we will update our webpage over the Christmas break! Keep checking the page for details and look out for emails for your opportunity to apply for our summer school scholarships!
Students who attended last year had an amazing time and here is what they had to say:
"The summer school was an amazing experience I got to meet new people and network, and see things which I wouldn't have done otherwise.” - Amandeep Mandair, Global Immersion Programme, Sichuan University.
“It was an invaluable experience both academically and especially personally.” - Ramna Shahid, Global Immersion Programme, Sichuan University.
“I was completely immersed in another culture and had a once in a lifetime experience!” - Lauren Massey, International Summer School, University of Seoul.
“I would totally recommend the summer school to any NTU student who has a thirst for travel, the openness to throw themselves into and embrace a totally different culture to the UK, the drive to push themselves out of their comfort zone for a month and most importantly the desire for creating some memories to last a lifetime with some of the most amazing people you will meet in your life.” - Ryan McGrath, International Summer School, University of Seoul.
