What are my options?

There are many exciting opportunities available to study, work or volunteer abroad during your studies at NTU. The range of options available depends on your course of study.

Study exchange

You can study at one of NTU's partner universities in:

  • Europe – We have exchange agreements with around 250 partner institutions in 26 European countries. NTU has been awarded an Erasmus CharterPDF icon to take part in the Erasmus+ Programme promoting student and staff mobility which enables you to apply for funding to support your study or work abroad.
  • Rest of the world – NTU’s numerous partner universities beyond Europe mean there are a variety of exchange opportunities across multiple disciplines.

You can also choose to study abroad via the International Student Exchange Programme (ISEP) network, which will give you access to over 300 member institutions across the world.

When can I go?

Exchanges are open to most full time undergraduate students during the second year of a three-year course, or the third year of a four-year course.

You have the option to go for one semester or for a full year, depending on your course of study. Some courses may also offer the opportunity to combine work and study abroad.

Erasmus exchange is also available to some postgraduate students, depending on course of study.

Please contact your Course Leader or School exchange coordinator if you have any questions about the options available to you.
