Placements support: Exciting, challenging and incredibly beneficial to your career, placements give you the valuable experience you need to put everything you learn in the classroom into real-life practice.
We offer as many students as possible the opportunity to gain relevant work experience as part of their course. Any work experience is beneficial to your employment prospects and, increasingly, having experience and applied skills is the critical factor employers are looking for and could make all the difference to your employment prospects after you leave us.
Many NTU courses offer a placement, lasting anything from two weeks to a whole academic year, and they are usually salaried. Often students who take a placement as part of their degree are offered a chance to work for the company after they graduate.
It’s really competitive out there, and so you need to be well prepared to give yourself the best chance of securing a great placement. Remember that you're not alone - we can offer you a lot of support.
