Undergraduate funding

If you are from England, tuition fee loans, maintenance loans, and grants are available to eligible undergraduate students to help towards fees and living expenses.

Find out more about loans and grants, and how to apply for them on our undergraduate funding pages.

Postgraduate funding

Tuition fees and funding for our professional and postgraduate education-related programmes varies from course to course and the level of study. Many professionals and postgraduates are self-financed, however financial support is now available for our taught courses.

  • Postgraduate Loans up to £10,280 are available through Student Finance England.
  • Professional and Career Development Loans can be from £300 to £10,000 to pay for up to 80% of your course fees. They are available from Barclays and the Co-operative Bank.
  • Research Councils: These fund the University direct rather than the student and are advertised on research council's websites.
  • Employers may sponsor your tuition fees as they will benefit from your new skills.
  • Charities, foundations, and trusts may offer funding or grants for all sorts of reasons, from where you were born to what you are studying.
  • Access to Learning Fund: offered by charitable organisations as a 'hardship fund'.
  • Disability related funding can cover specialist equipment or requirements.
