If you are taking the Early Years strand as part of your Joint Honours degree, you now have the option to study Early Years Initial Teacher Training alongside your course. This is currently the only recognised teaching qualification for children aged five or under. Additional qualifications are required – check the course information for details.
Professional undergraduate courses
- FdA Educational Support
If you are currently working in an educational support role in a school, college, or training environment – e.g. teaching assistant – and wish to extend your academic learning and gain a related qualification, we currently offer the two year, part-time foundation degree in Educational Support.
- BA (Hons) Education
This one year part-time course is designed for people who want to gain graduate status and extend their knowledge of issues impacting on education. It is aimed at professionals with a background in education and training that have already completed a Cert Ed or FdA programme.
