Do you have a specific question or problem that you're struggling with? Book an appointment online for some individual guidance.
We can provide advice on the best way to approach your work, and suggest new ways of thinking about your assignments. You can find specialist help with your study and research questions in the library by making an appointment with one of our:
- Learning and Teaching Librarians and Academic Skills Advisers, who work closely with each School in the University and can recommend the best way to find information for your subject. They can also give guidance on how to approach studying, academic writing, and mathematics.
- Student Mentors, who are second, final year, and postgraduate students that work in the library and can help you with academic skills, including writing, maths and statistics, and IT. Mentors come from subject areas taught across the University, and can advise how to approach your work using their own experience as students.
We want you to develop effective learning strategies, so we will never:
- tell you the "correct" answer
- proofread your work.
