Accessing IT services for academic visitors to NTU

The UK's Joint Academic Network (Janet) connects the UK's education and research organisations to each other. It also connects them to the rest of the world through the internet. We participate in Janet’s eduroam service and visitors from other participating UK organisations can connect to their home services using our wireless access points.

NTU has wireless points in the major buildings on each campus. By using these facilities you are agreeing to our Computer Use Regulations,PDF icon as well as any acceptable use policies at your home institution.

Before you visit us you may want to review the additional information below and check if your organisation participates by visiting the Janet website.

Information for visitors about Janet’s eduroam service

Visitors wishing to use the eduroam service should, before coming to NTU, ensure that your home institution participates in the Janet eduroam service.

Nottingham Trent University supports eduroam’s tier two using IEEE 802.1X authentication (WPA2 with AES) via the eduroam wireless SSID.

Eduroam visitors from other institutions should contact their own institution for any client configuration assistance.
