Printing, photocopying and scanning

Printing, photocopying and scanning

NTU gives most students a printing and photocopying allowance (normally of £20) at the start of each academic year. You'll probably use this up during the year, but if not, you cannot carry it over into the following year.

You can add money to your account using your Smartcard and the credit kiosks located in the libraries and IT resource rooms. We will carry over any money you put onto your card into the following year. You can print in A3 and A4, in black and white and colour in the libraries and IT resource rooms.

Photocopiers in the libraries are multi-functional so you can photocopy, print or scan documents. Once you scan a document you can then send it by email. You need your Smartcard to use the photocopiers.

Visitors

If you are visiting and you want to use our photocopiers you can obtain a Library Visitor Copy Card from our Information Desk. You need to return the card to us at the end of the day and we will ask for a £2.50 deposit to recover the cost of the card if you lose or damage it.

Once you have this card you will be able to add money to it using the credit kiosks located in the libraries. We will refund any unused credit to you when you return the card.
