Opportunities for alumni

Our alumni are keen to stay involved with us and often wish to give something back. As alumni, there are numerous ways in which you can support Nottingham Business School and our current students:

Nottingham Business School Alumni Fellowship Programme

The NBS Alumni Fellowship Programme is a wonderful way for you to share your knowledge and expertise with our current students. Since graduating, we know that you’ll have gained many valuable experiences that will be useful for our current students. To find our more, please visit our NBS Alumni Fellowship Programme website, or contact Govind Singh on +44 (0)115 848 6889 or by email.

Business Leaders Lecture Series

Nottingham Business School is known for welcoming renowned business leaders, some of them Alumni themselves, to share their knowledge and expertise. Our Business Leaders Lecture Series runs throughout the year and provides students past and present to meet staff and external corporate contacts. Our successful programme attracts audiences from across the region, and we would encourage all our Alumni to attend. Book on for upcoming lectures.

MBA Consultancy Projects

Consultancy projects are a key feature of Nottingham Business School's MBA Programmes. Alumni are often well placed to promote this service to senior management within their own organisations who might welcome the input of an MBA executive team on a strategic issue.

The projects have been extremely successful, with companies welcoming the contribution of fresh eyes, neutral parties and extra brain power – taking a fresh approach to internal issues, or undertaking projects they simply don't have time for themselves. Clients are mostly among smaller and medium-size firms, although larger clients include BMI, BT, Siemens, and 3663. Some projects are reserved for the NFP sector.

For any enquiries about projects, please contact Angela Scott via email.

Placements

One of the most effective ways to inject new ideas, expertise and enthusiasm into your company is via a student placement or student consultancy project.

Nottingham Business School believes that a work placement plays an essential role in the development of high-quality graduates, and is therefore committed to the value of a placement experience in producing mature, vocationally focused graduates.

Some of you may have undertaken placements as part of your degree, and now may be in a position to offer placements within your company. If so, please contact our Placement and Employment Service via email, who will be able to provide you with details of programmes on offer and how to go about employing a placement student.

Talent Pipeline

Recruit, select, and develop your own talent pipeline with a sponsored in-company degree programme. Find out more about our sponsored degree opportunities and our higher education apprenticeships.

Attending open days and international fairs

Prospective students are always keen to speak to former graduates, whose input can assist their decision-making. If you are international alumni and would like to help with Nottingham Business School fairs in your country, please contact us via email for details on fairs, locations, dates, and times.

Guest lecturers and event speakers

Are you keen to share your words of wisdom with current students or other alumni? Since graduation you may have gone on to a specialist field in business, or gathered knowledge and experience that you would like to share with others and which would benefit current students potentially seeking to embark on a similar career route. Please contact us via email for more information.
