Incoming students

If you wish to study at Nottingham Business School as an exchange student then your university must first have either an Erasmus Bilateral Agreement or Partnership Agreement if outside the Erasmus programme. Please check with your home institution if we have an exchange agreement. Students who are eligible to apply must first be nominated by their home institution, once you have been nominated by your home institution you will then be invited to apply. 

Course options and entry requirements

Undergraduate degrees

Exchange students who have completed a minimum of one year of their Bachelors degree programme in listed partner institutions are eligible to come and study in Year Two of our Bachelors programmes. Students must have passed a minimum of 120 UK credits (60 ECTS).

On successful completion of the course, students will receive a transcript of academic results.

Students can choose to study for the full year, or the fall or spring semester. Students will study 60 UK credit points per semester (30 ECTS).

Module options

Once you have selected your modules, we do not allow you to change your mind on arrival, or ‘try out’ modules, so it is important that you refer to the module specifications and consult your study abroad advisor at your home institution when choosing your modules to ensure that your choices are appropriate to your level and knowledge. You will choose your modules as part of the application process. 

In order to study here at NTU, students must meet our standard English Language Requirements.

NTU offers Pre-Sessional English courses which take place before the start of the academic year, although this is not compulsory for exchange students

The University Language Programme 

Language tuition is available in a wide range of languages fir all Nottingham Trent University students. Exchange students can take language classes, in some cases as part of their degree. Find out further information here.

Language course are not available to second semester half year exchange students.

Acceptance Letters

Students are not issued with an acceptance letter unless you require one for visa or financial purposes. You will receive an acceptance email and your NTU user ID shortly after receipt of your completed application form. Should you require an acceptance letter please contact us.


We have a dedicated accommodation office who will assist you to find suitable lodgings.
