Robin Foale, Managing Director, Santander UK
Lecture Title: The Start of Something New in Business Banking: My Personal Leadership Journey

Robin is the Managing Director for Santander UK Business Banking after joining Santander in June 2008. He leads a team of five direct reports with over 350 people in his rapidly growing team. Since joining Business Banking in early 2011 Robin has led the team to launch the 'Start of Something New in Business Banking' developing a new Business Banking proposition for our customers, along with aggressive marketing and ambitious expansion plans to more than treble the size of the team by the end of 2012.
He has enjoyed a career in Banking spanning over 25 years, during at least 15 of which he has led teams within retail, small business and most recently corporate banking. Formerly with Barclays, and now with Santander, his primary focus will be on expanding the Santander Business Bank, together with building relationships with new and existing customers in very challenging economic, social and political times.
A graduate in Leadership from Nottingham Trent University, and a Visiting Fellow of Lord Ashcroft International Business School, he regularly gives presentations on business leadership, and corporate and cultural change.
He lives in London and Exeter, and enjoys a number of hobbies, including keeping fit, watching rugby union, cooking and a wide interest in music.
