The only UK Law School with a teaching law firm
NLS Legal, our on-campus teaching law firm, is the only of it's kind amongst all UK universities. All NLS students can benefit from this, and our other opportunities to gain real-world experience ensuring our graduates are more than qualified at the end of their courses.
NLS Legal
We offer legal services across a range of practice areas, to those who are unable to afford, or otherwise access, legal advice and assistance.
Support Through Court
Based within the Law School, NLS hosts Support Through Court's Nottingham Service and National Online Service. Both services provide hundreds of student work experience opportunities.
Mooting
A 'moot' or 'mooting' is the oral presentation of a legal issue or problem. Students can practice their public speaking and benefit from the closest experience to appearing in court that you can have while at university.

Our courses are accredited or approved by a range of professional bodies, including the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Bar Standards Board, Intellectual Property Regulation Board and Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys, and our extensive links with the legal and other professions both at home and overseas, reflect and inform the design of our course portfolio and ensure that we continue to lead the way in legal education.
