The School is an excellent learning environment with consistently high standards of teaching and students produce work of exceptional quality. Projects developed by final year and postgraduate students are consistently groundbreaking, innovative and attract industry attention.
The practical nature of our courses enables students to produce commercially viable scientific research and technologies. For example, Sport Science and Management students recently visited Poland where they are are helping to shape leisure services provision.
All of our computing and technology degrees promote the development of individual project work and incorporate one in the final year. These range from new and developing areas such as using wireless communication like Bluetooth to enable work in pervasive technology to games for learning programmes.
Each year the School hosts an annual Research Conference and Student Showcase events to present the innovative work taking place within the School.
