How to do business with NTU

To express an interest in any goods and services procured which are not covered by existing contracts, or for future opportunities valued over £50K [ex-VAT] you may be able to offer to NTU, please register your company details on the In-Tend website (details below). We also have the option to access collaborative frameworks put in place by the HE and wider Public sector as detailed below.

General terms and conditions for the supply of goods and services can be found here.

We place advertisements locally via Source Nottinghamshire, Contracts Finder and the East Midlands Chamber of Commerce.

EU Procurement Directives

The University currently has to comply with EU Procurement Directives for goods and services valued over £164,176 (ex-VAT) for one-off purchases and on-going requirements purchased via frameworks (for up to 4 years) which are also advertised on TED. The EU threshold for works (construction) is currently £4,104,394.

Regional and national Higher Education consortia and third party public sector tenders will not be advertised via the NTU web site, should we choose to utilise a collaborative EU compliant framework agreement, but will appear in TED.

Items not covered by existing contracts

In order to express an interest in goods and services not covered by existing contracts, or for future opportunities valued over £50K (ex-VAT) which you may be able to offer to NTU, please register your company details on our tendering portal.

Help with InTend

Please refer to the Procurement Team and contact the Buyer relevant to the particular contract.

We also have the option to access collaborative frameworks put in place by the HE and wider public sector. You would have to bid via an EU-compliant tendering process to become a contracted or approved supplier.

More details on In-Tend

In order to qualify as a contracted or approved supplier, you are expected to bid via an EU compliant tendering process. We use In-Tend.

Once registered on In-Tend you should express a formal interest to relevant tenders as and when they are published. When registering, the system will indicate if your company is already registered. Please do not attempt to re-register by changing your company name as this results in duplication on the system. Also please ensure the Publish To and Individual email addressed are correct to ensure you receive future tender correspondence.

You are advised to periodically check the web site for forthcoming and current tenders as opportunity notifications are not automatically generated.
