Nottingham Centre for Children, Young People and Families

Welcome to the Nottingham Centre for Children, Young People and Families

At Nottingham Trent University, we believe that by working together, we can make a real difference to the lives of children, young people and families.

That’s why we’ve set up the Nottingham Centre for Children, Young People and Families.

The Centre enables us to combine the expertise of nearly 100 academics with practitioners, policy makers, students and – crucially – children, young people and families themselves.

By working together, we want to make a tangible and lasting difference so that children, young people and families:

  • have a powerful and influential voice
  • are better protected from exploitation and harm
  • experience positive mental health and wellbeing
  • live in a just world
  • have the best start to life.

Please join us to test and develop new ways of working, undertake life-changing research, transform professional training, and proactively influence policy debates.
