Scholarships and loyalty schemes
We are pleased to offer a number of generous scholarships and loyalty schemes. These include:
- Nottingham Trent University Postgraduate Masters Scholarships for UK Students
- the International Development Office's international scholarship scheme
- the International Development Office's European Union scholarship scheme
- Postgraduate Taught and Professional Alumni Loyalty Scheme
- research bursaries.
Please note that these scholarships are only available to students who have been offered a place to study on their chosen Masters course within the School.
Nottingham Trent University Postgraduate Masters Scholarships for UK Students starting in September 2017
NTU is pleased to offer a number of scholarships worth up to the value of half your tuition fee. These scholarships are available to students who have been made an offer of a place to study on an eligible postgraduate Masters course starting in September 2017 and the scholarships will be available in the form of a tuition fee reduction.
We award these competitive scholarships to students who can demonstrate excellent achievement, passion and dedication to their studies.
The following courses in the School of Social Sciences are included in the 2017 scheme:

- MSc Applied Child Psychology
- MSc / MRes Psychological Research Methods
- MSc Forensic Mental Health
- MSc Forensic Psychology

International and EU scholarships
The University also has a number of competitive scholarships available for international applicants and applicants from the European Union starting on an eligible postgraduate Masters courses..

Makerere University Scholarship
As part of the international scholarship scheme we are pleased to offer a prestigious scholarship with our partner Makerere University. The scholarship is open to students graduating from Makerere University and planning to do a Masters degree in Public Health in September 2017. The award is for 50% of the tuition fee.
Postgraduate Taught and Professional Alumni Loyalty Scheme for courses starting in September 2017 and January 2018
NTU is pleased to offer a 25% tuition fee reduction if you are an existing final year NTU undergraduate student, or a postgraduate or professional student studying at the City Campus, Clifton Campus or Brackenhurst Campus, and you progress directly onto an eligible course within the School of Social Sciences, or if you have graduated with an academic award from NTU at any time after 1 July 2012 and you progress onto an eligible course. Please note that courses which are validated by, but not taught by, NTU are not eligible for this discount.
You must also have accepted an offer for a place to study on an eligible course at the School of Social Sciences starting in September 2017 or January 2018. You do not need to apply for the discount as it will automatically be deducted from your fee before enrolment.
A number of bursaries are available for research projects from the University.
