Our state-of-the-art City Sports Centre was opened in 2013 by Olympic legacy ambassador Lord Sebastian Coe. It contains an impressive sports hall built to Sport England standards, a 100-station fitness suite and a dance studio, all around a central 30ft climbing wall.

Located in the heart of the city, a 15 minute walk from the train station, five minutes from The Cornerhouse and with a Premier Inn right across the road, it provides the ideal location for a variety of sporting events and activities.

"Placing such a high-quality sports and fitness offering right at the heart of the Students' Union building not only works to support the training of athletes studying at the University, but is also a fantastic way of encouraging more young people to try sports."
Lord Sebastian Coe
