Appointing an External

External examiners are nominated by course leaders using the EE1 form, available below. Their nomination is considered by SASQC, URDC or the Validated Centre and forwarded to the External Examiners Appointment Panel, which meets five times per year, for approval. Nominations should be considered by EEAP at least six months prior to the commencement of the appointment.

Schools are advised to discuss the nomination process with the nominee including the timeframes/steps involved. It should be noted that the nominee is not an external examiner until they receive an appointment letter from CADQ and have undertaken a satisfactory right to work process with the relevant College HR team.
