Postgraduate Research Experience Survey

Postgraduate researchers – your opinion matters.

We're so proud of all our researchers for their resilience and flexibility in embracing change this year. This is your opportunity to reflect on your entire NTU experience, from your very first day.

Your feedback will help shape the future development of our doctoral programmes, and you could win one of five £100 Amazon vouchers* for yourself too.

Check your eligibility and complete the survey below. All answers are anonymous.

Why should I complete the survey?

The PRES is a place for you to voice your opinions about the quality of your research degree programme, the supervision and training you receive, and your time here at NTU.

Your feedback is valuable and will help us to make improvements to your degree and to prioritise areas of development for the University.

Previous improvements have included:

  • More face-to-face events on Fridays to make attendance for part-time doctoral researchers easier
  • All Schools have also committed to expanding their research seminar programmes and now provide more opportunities for doctoral researchers to interact with each other.
  • The Researcher Development Gateway has been redesigned on NOW and a Researcher Development brochure has been created, which brings together the institutional training offer in one place.

As a thank you, you'll be entered into a prize draw to win one of five £100 Amazon vouchers*.

Who can take part?

All researchers registered on a postgraduate research degree at the time of the survey, including: Professional Doctorate, MPhil and PhD, who started the course before January 2025.
