Current developments

New student accommodation
Works started last summer to build a new student accommodation complex comprising of 191 beds across two sites, allowing more students to live on campus. The development is due for completion summer 2019. 

New Heart of the Campus
Work are underway to create an impressive Reception and Environment Centre which will be known as The Lyth Building. Situated at the front of the campus, this flagship building will provide excellent teaching, learning and research dedicated to geography, environment, ecology and conservation.

It will feature a campus reception, a café and dining area, large open plan spaces, a 200-seat lecture theatre, state-of-the-art teaching and research rooms as well as many beautiful outdoor areas to relax and socialise in.

Construction started in March 2018.

Update: Works are currently on hold following a structural defect with a section of the development. An investigation is being carried out by the contractor to understand why the structural defects occurred before works continue. Further updates will be sent out more information is released..


Completed developments

Bramley Cottages
We recently refurbished Bramley Cottages converting them into student accommodation. Within the garden of the cottages lies the original Bramley Apple tree, which NTU intends to preserve for as long as possible.
