Opportunities for students

The Centre for student and Community engagement offers a wide range of opportunities to enhance your university experience, support your personal development and explore future prospects.

Whether you decide to volunteer locally or abroad, inspire the next generation of learners in schools or support your peers as a Student Mentor, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

Student training

We aim to assist your wider learning and personal development, ensuring you have the skills and support you need to get the most from your role. Both NTU and University of Nottingham students participating in our schemes are required to attend compulsory training sessions, designed to support you to develop the necessary skills for your role.

“Taking part in the Students in Classrooms scheme was extremely fun and rewarding. The opportunity helped me to develop my confidence, leadership and decision making skills, all whilst knowing I was motivating and supporting the pupils and having a positive impact on them. I would strongly recommend taking part in the scheme!”
