Requesting OA funding
NTU Open Access Fund
The Library administers a fund to cover the cost of open access publishing where an article or book processing charge is levied by the publisher. Guidelines for the management of the open access fund have been produced to provide greater clarification on eligibility for submission to the fund.
The NTU Open Access Publishing Process Flowchart may assist you when considering how to make your work open access and your Research Support Librarian is available to discuss publishing options and advise if green open access is sufficient to meet your needs.
Please complete the NTU open access fund form before submitting your paper to a journal and send it to your School Associate Dean for Research (ADR) for approval. Completed forms must be returned to the Library Research Team to allow us to ringfence funds for payment. The actions required of the author, ADR and the Library at each stage of the process are set out in the NTU Open Access Funding Application Process Workflow .
Publisher discounts and deals
NTU authors can benefit from a range of agreements with publishers that offer discounts on article processing charges. Please be aware that these deals are reviewed frequently and the terms and conditions may change without notice. Contact your Research Support Librarian if you are interested in any of these deals.
