Wherever you come from, Nottingham Trent University aims to make you feel as welcome as possible. You will receive full support from our International Development Office and our welcome week is designed for you to settle in quickly and easily.


Nottingham Law School welcomes a number of Canadian students onto our courses every year. These students study at all levels, undergraduate, vocational and postgraduate.

The NCA assesses legal education credentials obtained outside of Canada for individuals applying for admission to a law society in a Canadian common law jurisdiction. For further details visit the NCA web pages.

Many Nigerian students study here each year. Some stay and take up postgraduate study and further research. A former Law student set up the Nigerian Student Society which has won the Nottingham Trent Student Union award for best new society. The society has arranged and hosted a number of events bringing renowned guest speakers into the University.

Our Masters in Law (LLM) course is popular with trainee lawyers from Germany. Many German students require an LLM for their professional development and find studying in the UK, in English, gives a great boost to their CV. Nottingham Law School attends the Frankfurt Law fair each year. Details of the next fair will be on our events page when they become available.
