Finding a work placement
Through the Employability Team at NTU you can access a database of approved companies and employers. We talk to all of these organisations regularly and have a good understanding of what they're looking for in a student. We have a dedicated placement website, InPlace where you can view placement vacancies from approved companies and employers looking to recruit NTU students.
We also encourage you to look for your own placement by writing directly to companies you're interested in. We can help you by giving you advice on preparing your CV and covering letter.
Internships and vacancy work
Some companies offer short term work experience in the form of paid and unpaid internships. These are often offered during the summer holidays, giving you the chance to gain vital work experience that fits in well around your studies.
When it comes to work experience, the world is your oyster. Right now, NTU Science and Technology students are gaining valuable work experience in companies around the world, including organisations such as CERN and Schlumberger.
