Lacrosse at NTU
Lacrosse is a performance sport at NTU, and the University provides a first-class, performance-based environment in which talented athletes can pursue excellence in both their sport and their chosen academic discipline.
Lacrosse is one of the University’s fastest-developing sports. We are one of the leading lacrosse programmes in the United Kingdom, and we compete in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) League which is equivalent to the NCAA. The men’s programme competes in the top division, and the women’s programme compete in tier 1, both against some of the best universities in the country.
As a performance athlete at NTU, each week you can expect three sessions of lacrosse and two of strength and conditioning, plus BUCS matches on Wednesdays. Upon joining the performance squad, a wide range of support becomes available – not just in your chosen sport, but also in your academic, lifestyle and career development. Your coaches, the NTU Sport team and the Head of Strength and Conditioning will provide advice on health, nutrition and training, and you will ll have physiotherapy support throughout.
Additionally, as part of our Sport Scholarship programme, NTU Lacrosse is able to offer a number of sport scholarships each year.
