About TILT
The Trent Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT) promotes excellence in learning and teaching, and supports our strategic plan Creating the University of the Future. TILT is an institution-wide community of practice that recognises inspirational teaching at NTU, shares innovative practice, and investigates emerging themes in learning and teaching.
Practice and scholarship groups
Self-directing and self-managing, these groups are founded around common interests in learning and teaching with membership from across NTU.
Vice-Chancellor's Teaching Award
Now in its sixth year, this award celebrates inspirational teaching at the University.
Sabbatical scheme
This competitive scheme provides colleagues with the opportunity to pursue developments which will impact positively on learning and teaching at NTU.

Events
TILT hosts an annual suite of events, the highlight of which is the TILT Annual Learning and Teaching Conference.
PG Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP)
An inquiry-based, multidisciplinary course which offers structured and individualised continuing professional development.
Working groups
These groups advise and produce recommendations on topics of interest within NTU.
