Meteors and Craters
In this workshop students (Key Stage 1 - 3) will explore how craters are created by meteorites. During the activities participants will make their own craters and explore how properties such as speed and impact angle influence the shape of craters. Concepts such as kinetic and potential energy as well as air resistance will be explored during their work.
The workshop can be extended through computer labs simulating real impact craters on Earth.
