20 inch Newise

This telescope is a combination between a Schmidt telescope with a Newtonian setup. Its primary mirror is spherical and the image distortions caused by this component are then corrected by correcting plates and lenses. The design was developed by Peter Wise and allows for well focused images over a large field of view. The telescope is mounted on a fully motorised Paramount ME mount.
