Nottingham lies just to the east of the M1, a major motorway running through the centre of England that connects London to Leeds and beyond.

Getting to the City Campus

Our City Campus is located right in the middle of Nottingham city centre. The closest motorway junctions are junctions 24, 25 and 26 on the M1. If you are using a sat nav to find us, the campus postcode is NG1 4FQ, or you can get directions to NTU.

Parking is very limited in Nottingham city centre, so we suggest you use one of the many Park and Ride services or the tram network.

All trams will pass the NTU stop. Full details can be found on the Nottingham Tram website, but your options will include:

  • leaving the M1 at J24 using Clifton South tram stop

    Journey time: 28 minutes
  • leaving the M1 at J25 use Toton Lane tram stop
    Sat nav postcode: NG9 7JA
    Journey time: 38 minutes
  • leaving the M1 at J26 use Phoenix Park and Ride
    Sat nav postcode NG8 6AS
    Journey time: 17 minutes

The tram costs £3.50 for an adult day ticket. You can buy your ticket from the machines at the tram stop. Change is given, and parking is free. The tram runs every 10-15 minutes and the NTU stop on Goldsmith Street is in the middle of the City Campus.

If you are travelling from the east we suggest you follow the A52 to Nottingham and take the Park and Ride from Nottingham Racecourse. The bus will drop you off on Lower Parliament Street, which is just a short walk from NTU. Buses run every 15 minutes and cost £3 for up to six people.

If you do decide to drive into the city, the closest car parks to NTU are:

  • Trinity Square (NG1 4BT)
  • Talbot Street (NG1 5GG)
  • The Victoria Centre (NG1 3QN)

Getting to Clifton Campus

Clifton is about five miles from Nottingham city centre. The closest motorway junction is junction 24 on the M1. If you are using a sat nav to find us, the campus postcode is NG11 8NS, or you can get directions to NTU.

From junction 24 follow the A453 for seven miles to the Clifton Campus.

If you are travelling from the east follow the A52 and signs to Nottingham, then join the A453, signposted ‘M1 South’. The Clifton entrance will be on your right hand side.

Parking is available at Clifton Campus for all visitors.

Getting to Brackenhurst Campus

Brackenhurst is close to the picturesque town of Southwell, approximately 14 miles north-east of Nottingham city centre. The closest motorway junctions are junctions 28 and 29 on the M1. If you are using a sat nav to find us, the campus postcode is NG25 0QF, or you can get directions to NTU.

From junction 28 take the A38 towards Mansfield, then turn right to follow the A617 towards Newark and then turn right onto the A612 towards Southwell and Nottingham. The campus will be on your left.

From junction 29 follow the A617 towards Newark and then turn right onto the A612 towards Southwell and Nottingham. The campus will be on your left.

Parking is available in the Bramley car park for visitors.
