By rail

Nottingham railway station is close to the city centre and is connected to Nottingham's bus and tram networks. You can find timetable information and ticket prices through the National Rail website.

If you book a few weeks in advance, however, you may find cheaper tickets through East Midlands Trains, The Trainline, Virgin Trains or Northern Rail.

London's St Pancras International Station is less than two hours away by direct train, and provides Eurostar links to Paris, Lille, Brussels and beyond.

Getting to the City Campus

NTU's City Campus is just a fifteen minute walk from Nottingham railway station, or you can take the tram. Follow signs from the railway station platforms for the tram, and take any northbound tram for four stops. You can buy tickets for between £2 and £3.50 from the machines at the tram stop. Change is given. NTU has it's very own stop for the City Campus located on Goldsmith Street.

If you do want to walk then leave the train station and cross the pedestrian crossing, turn right towards the Broadmarsh shopping centre passing Starbucks and then Nottingham's Broadmarsh bus station on your right.

Walk directly through the shopping centre and continue to walk up Lister Gate and then Wheeler Gate until you reach the Market Square. Cross over the square and walk up Market Street where you will see the Theatre Royal. Behind the Theatre, you will find the Concert Hall and the University's Newton building.

Getting to Clifton Campus

Nottingham railway station is about five miles from Clifton Campus. A taxi from the station will cost around £10, and there is taxi rank right outside the station entrance.

Alternatively you can catch the Go2 Uni 4 bus from just outside the station. This bus runs from every seven minutes at peak lecture times, and until midnight Monday - Saturday. There is also a nightbus on the route connecting the railway station to Clifton Campus until 03:15, six days a week.

Tickets cost £2 for a single tip or £3.50 for a day's pass. Discounted student passes are also available from the Nottingham City Transport website.

Getting to Brackenhurst campus

Brackenhurst campus is close to the picturesque town of Southwell, approximately 14 miles north-east of Nottingham ‘s railway station. A taxi from the station will cost around £30, and there is a taxi rank right outside the station entrance.

A cheaper option is to walk to Nottingham's Market Square from the railway station then catch the bus. Leave the train station and cross the pedestrian crossing, turn right towards the Broadmarsh shopping centre passing Starbucks and then Nottingham's Broadmarsh bus station on your right.

Walk directly through the shopping centre and continue to walk up Lister Gate and then Wheeler Gate until you reach the Market Square. Standing in front of the Council House in the Market Square, take the road to the left, King Street, by the statue of Brian Clough. This walk takes around 15 minutes.

From King Street you can catch the number 100 bus all the way to Brackenhurst campus. Buses run every 30 minutes with the last service leaving Nottingham around 23:00 Monday – Saturday. The journey takes around 45 minutes and costs £7 for a return ticket.

Alternatively, you can catch the tram from the railway station to the Market Square, then catch the number 100 bus from King Street.
