Music
Music is an integral part of the NTU experience and is led by our Director of Music, the internationally-recognised singer, choral and orchestral conductor Matthew Hopkins.
There are various ensembles at the University that provide opportunities for students, staff and members of the local community to develop their musical talents, including the NTU Concert Band, String Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, Big Band, Drumline, Chamber Choir and the NTU Choir, which is the largest choir at the University consisting of over 180 singers. NTU Music also runs a Band Development Programme which offers students the platform and facilities to meet other like minded instrumentalists to create a band under the guidance of our experienced band development leader, Tom Bates.
