One-to-one advice
The International Student Support Service interacts with international students on a daily basis through a range of communication methods including telephone, email, information sessions and appointments. Many students ask how they can meet an adviser to talk to them face-to-face. There are several ways to do this:
Welcome events
Staff from the International Student Support Service team are present at all of our welcome events at the start of term, so come along to say hello and ask any questions you may have.
Tier 4 information sessions
Many of our queries are related to students who need help with extending their Tier 4 Student visa in order to complete their course. We offer regular group information sessions which give students the opportunity to meet an adviser who will support them through the visa extension process.
One-to-one appointments
For students with complex immigration situations, we offer individual one-to-one appointments with an adviser. These are offered on a referral-only basis, so students need to email or telephone us first to discuss their case. If the adviser feels that a one-to-one appointment is necessary, they will identify a suitable time to meet with the student.
