About our service

The International Student Support Service provides all international students at NTU with advice and support on a range of issues, including:

  • visas and immigration
  • employment regulations
  • settling into life in the UK

Our advisers will always do everything possible to assist you to achieve the best possible outcome to your immigration situation, but must also act within the bounds and in the interests of the University’s sponsor licence.

For more information about our immigration advice service, including the range of issues we can advise you on, how you can access our service and our confidentiality policy, please read our Advice Service provision statement. PDF icon

We run welcome events at the start of term to introduce students to the service and to help you settle into life in Nottingham and at NTU. We also offer information sessions throughout the year for students who need to extend their visas to remain in the UK to study, as well as one-to-one appointments for students in more complex situations. Additionally, we offer a range of useful guidance notes to answer many of the questions that international students may have.

We are based in the Student Services Centre in the Newton building, City Campus.
