Technology-rich collaborative (TeRCo) rooms
Chaucer 2603, 2704 and 2706; DICe S109b
These three rooms, while using differently shaped tables, are similar in concept and the classroom management software that is available. Each has four or five tables with integrated IT and presentation capability using Netop Vision Pro software.
Each table seats up to six students and has a shared PC with large screen. This arrangement is designed to facilitate group work and is particularly useful for collaborative activities such as online research, collating and synthesising information, creating resources, and preparing presentation materials.
TeRCo tables can also be found in Boots Library and in some common areas – e.g. the Chaucer level two social space – where they are popular with students working on group projects.
