Sexual health

Your sexual health should be a positive aspect of student life, and your relationships should enable you to fulfil your social as well as academic potential, and to develop assertiveness and emotional intelligence.

Safer sex

Condoms are the only method which will protect you against both sexually transmitted infections and unintended pregnancies. If you are under 25 you can get free condoms through the C-Card scheme, available from NTU health centres. See the Condom Essential Wear website for more details about using condoms.

Sexually transmitted infections

It is estimated that around 10% of men and women under 25 have Chlamydia, the most common sexually transmitted infection, even though they may have no symptoms. Treatment is simple and free. Watch out for screening days on campus and visit the Chlamydia Screening Notts website for more information.
